H&H Speaks
2012

Ladies and Gents,

Soon we are going to be entering the final year of the Earth’s existence. According to ancient Mayan science, which is incredibly accurate, the world will cease to be in December of 2012. I don’t know about you guys, but because of the threat of impending doom, H&H is going to do everything in their mighty internet power to make your last year on this little blue dot an enjoyable one!

In this past year, we’ve seen our share of ups and downs. We gained a ton of new listeners, we redesigned our website (courtesy of the fine art stylings of one Eryck Webb), and we revealed our embarassing personal lives much to your amusement. We also managed to miss Dragon*Con, a handful of show dates were postponed/cancelled, and we failed to email many of you back with even the most basic of information or even a “Hey thanks for mailing us” email. The good things were good, and the bad things were everywhere from our bad to downright unacceptable.

I really want this next year to be something amazing for us all to experience together. H&H started out as a simple passion project, and something that I thought people would enjoy. I never knew that it would spiral into the internet hit that it is today and I still don’t really know where we stand in the grand scheme of podcasting. I like it that way. I never look at our stats or how many people download our show. I never bother with looking at our Google Analytics to see how many hits we get. You might view this as me not caring at all about the success of our podcast, and you may be right. My number one rule when doing this show is that we all have fun and that at least one person gets a chuckle out of it. Even if that one person is Ash or myself.

This show is not an attempt at internet fame, and everything we try to do comes straight from our hearts. I’ve made some pretty awesome friends and met some super cool people thanks to this show. I’ve also learned quite a bit myself on how to interact with people I’ve never met before. I’ve always been shy and have some social anxiety. This show has helped me work through a lot of that.

I just wanted to write this blog to let you know that I can’t promise we’re going to be a whole lot better about anything in 2012. I’m not going to make any resolutions or goals, mostly because we’ve done that before and it doesn’t work. What I can promise you is that we will continue to do our very best to make this show everything we ever wanted it to be and keep making you laugh well into the apocolypse. I will try to do better about emailing you guys back with any info you need, and keeping the show on our scheduled day at our scheduled time. I hope that some of our flukes and mishaps in the past haven’t deterred you from coming back and enjoying it.

We love you guys so very much. You really make this show worth doing. At the end of the day, this show is about getting together on the internet to laugh at the stupid things our world does. Most of the time we end up just laughing at ourselves.

I hope you all have a wonderful new year! Come back in 2012 for the (potential) final year of H&H madness! Should the apocalypse not occur, you can definitely count on us being back in 2013…however we may decide to dress like Mad Max anyway :P

Love you guys!

Stephen

Mind = Blown!

Search the internet.

Good buddy of H&H, comic book genius Chris Moreno, has drawn up a crapton of hilarious celebrity pokemon evolutions. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard!

This is the most beautiful, yet heartbreaking, video game trailer I’ve ever seen. Wow

For those who got a chance to listen to my dad ramble for 10 minutes on our last live call-in show, which you should download HERE, you should take look at this.

I laughed so very hard, and the first thing I thought of was that this must be how people feel when they hear my dad speak to them. If only real life had subtitles 0_o

Keanu Reeves Style: “whoa”

Whoa! It’s been way too long since we’ve posted anything on this page. This needs to be corrected.

I typed this on Lando’s iPad. It’s different. Updates coming soon!!!

I found this while browsing Digg. You guys HAVE to watch this. It’s one of the best machinima videos I’ve ever seen.

In this feature film, a salesman (who happens to be a biker) wants to sell his goods to the various citizens of Liberty City to feed his striving family. However, when a mafia boss refuses his offer of his goods, the boss ends up sleeping with the fishes, brought down by the salesman’s hand. As the salesman goes about his business, including a random encounter with his clone(s), the mafia hires a hitman to take him out. During this ferocious chain of events, a fellow Liberty City police officer gets involved with the mess, adding insult to injury. Why can’t the salesman be such a nice guy? Because he’s a badass, you bitch.

Chris Moreno took some time out with us to appear for the first time on camera! We had a blast talking to him about all things Dragon*Con and wish to extend our thanks to him for sharing the screen with us for a few minutes.

And the video has been unleashed to the world!! Check out our first video of Dragon*Con coverage!
